Dear Wake Up Family and Friends,
The Children of Israel had wandered many years in the wilderness and, finally, Moses was preparing them to enter the Promised Land. God, however, would not allow Moses to enter. After Moses learned that he would die and not be allowed to enter Canaan, he gave the encampment a farewell message. He reminded Israel of how the Lord had led His people in the past, and urged them to never forget the Lord. Moses said to them, “Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” (Deuteronomy 4:9)
Nearly 3,500 years later, Moses’ words still have meaning for us today. In October 1986, Larry gave his first seminar. In his words, “One day after church, some friends came to the house and after lunch, I gave them a Bible study—whether they wanted it or not ☺. After a couple of hours, they became excited and suggested that I conduct a seminar and share my views on the book of Revelation because they wanted to hear more. Ironically, when I held the seminar, those friends never attended. After that seminar, I conducted more seminars. From those, both interest and opposition grew.”
The Lord led Larry to found Wake Up and through the years, God has given us countless faith-building opportunities. One example I can share this month is rooted in Larry’s recollection of events in 1988. “Obtaining office space in Bellbrook was a miracle. I had only enough money to rent an office for three months. When I told the building owner about my finances, he didn’t even write up a contract. As I remember, he muttered something about not wanting to waste the paper.” After three decades of renting space, we finally achieved Larry’s goal of purchasing the entire building with funds set aside for that specific purpose.
From Day One, Wake Up has been built on a walk of faith. And just as Moses encouraged the Children of Israel, we will not forget how the Lord has blessed us. We are reminded daily of what the Lord has done for Wake Up in the past and we plan to faithfully share the prophetic message He has blessed us with as long as He sustains us! May the Lord bless each of you in your walk as you share the message of His soon return.
Although we mentioned purchasing the building last year, we thought we would share several images of the office space and encourage you to visit us. We look forward to seeing you at 22 North Main St., Bellbrook, Ohio when you are in the area. Please stop by!
God bless you in every possible way,
Marty
