Dear Wake Up Family!
I’m “jumpin’ for joy!” You will be jumpin’ too, when you read this! Marty has reported that during the past six months, we reached 301,889 people on the internet, equaling the population of Cincinnati! In addition, 44,744 YouTube viewers watched 583,309 minutes (9,721 hours) of video and website visitors were a whopping 257,145! Thanks to your faithful support and sharing, we are almost one-third of the way to reach a million people within three years! I thought it would take much longer! “Oh me of little faith.”
But wait, there’s more! This past month we gave away a record smashing $48,741 in materials! This brings our six-month giveaway total to $213,570. Can you believe it? We blew through the $200,000 mark within six months and I thought it would take eight or nine! “Oh me of little faith.” Exciting things are happening. A record 46,503 people visited our website this past month! The Holy Spirit is at work! Jesus’ return is near! Holy Spirit power will become more visible as the Day of the Lord draws near. “But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.” (Romans 5:20) What will it be during the 1,260 days allotted to the Two Witnesses?
The video series still receiving the most attention is “The Mark of the Beast is not a Microchip or Worshiping on Sunday.” This short three-part series garnered a whopping 84,456 minutes (1,408 hours) during the past six months. I know this series makes some folks very unhappy/angry, but Jesus indicated that “present truth” always offends those who are unwilling to walk in advancing light. (John 3:19-21)
Don’t quit reading just yet – there’s another number that will excite you. During the past six months we have shipped out 52,694 pieces of material such as books, booklets, and DVDs. Diana has been so busy she had to take a vacation! Sure, some of these materials have not been distributed yet, but sharing these materials will swell our efforts to reach a million people as quickly as possible. We continue to create more booklets as fast as we can because different topics attract different people. I just finished a new booklet describing the wars leading to Armageddon. This should be available early next year. If you are receiving booklets faster than you can read them, rejoice! You have good reading material for rainy or snowy days. Meanwhile, share-share-share! I try to leave booklets everywhere I go. Remember, the only thing we can take to Heaven is our character and a neighbor or two.
We are planning to distribute my latest book, The Untold Story of Jesus, in January. Marty, Rex, and a team of proofreaders have been working diligently on it. (It takes a team to clean up after me.) We plan to send you a copy so you can see what the story is all about. Read the book and order free copies so you can share-share-share! The untold story of Jesus is higher and greater than I can possibly tell, because the Godhead we love and serve is higher than the highest human thought and greater than anything we can understand. This is my finite attempt to tell the story of God’s infinite love. I pray that my earnest effort will inspire and challenge you to know the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in a new and refreshing way.
As 2019 comes to an end, my joy and peace in the Lord has never been greater. Shirley and I have been blessed this past year beyond measure. Your cards, prayers, and concerns are deeply appreciated. We have no doubt that the Lord has thwarted the advancement of my illness (bulbar onset is the most aggressive form of ALS). The disease is causing my health to decline, but we have been able to continue to work for the Lord. In our adversity, we have clearly seen God’s goodness and mercy in very tangible ways. We have often felt Jesus’ presence and even though we are in the valley of the shadow of death, we fear no evil (most of the time – grinning).
The Lord is our Shepherd and our job is simple and at times, difficult: “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way!” Jesus knows the way for each of us through 2020. He is always near. His eyes are constantly upon us. He may lead us to a mountain top like Moses, into a fiery furnace like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, or into a lion’s den like Daniel. We have a divine Shepherd who loves and tenderly cares for each of His lambs. What an immeasurable blessing. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
May your heart be filled with the peace and joy of Jesus, our Lord, all year long.
